Release of my-IAM PeopleConnect – Fast contact management in Teams
Our cloud service my-IAM PeopleConnect focuses on quickly finding and connecting colleagues in Teams. In doing so, PeopleConnect not only draws on M365 users. It also maps all internal and external contact sources used in the company to a central location. These contacts are displayed in an interactive dashboard and enable fast contact management in Teams.
My-IAM PeopleConnect is a business cloud service based on our my-IAM cloud platform technology. This is characterized by high scalability, configuration and speed. Even in an enterprise environment with thousands of employees and requests, my-IAM PeopleConnect remains stable and fast.
Finding the right contact person in Teams
Many companies work with Microsoft Teams. However, it is sometimes difficult to find the right contact person for a specific question. Especially in larger companies with many business units, it is time-consuming to find out who knows the answer to a problem.
In Teams, you can search by standard attributes, such as names, job titles, or departments, but that’s it. If the correct contact person is not saved as an M365 user, they will not show up in the search.
PeopleConnect offers you smart search options in a solution that spans multiple address books. So you can find your answer and the right contact quickly and accurately.
In the new release of my-IAM PeopleConnect, all internal and external contacts can be retrieved in a tile view or list view .
Data security is also a very high priority. Our cloud service is hosted in Germany and maps all IT security requirements.
Clear contact management of all internal and external contacts
my-IAM PeopleConnect provides a centralized contact list directly in Teams. For this purpose, it imports all important internal and external contacts from various data sources:
M365/Azure AD
Active Directory
Exchange or Exchange online
Phone systems
Intranet
other databases/files (xls, csv)
Different source object types are mapped and merged in a configurable logic. The fast information layer organizes the data and displays it for the user in a flexible dashboard.

GetConnected – Flexible dashboard for searching and finding contacts
The well-organized GetConnected dashboard is characterized by many helpful features. Besides the usual Teams contact options, it specifically offers the following options:
- Landline call
- Mobile call
- Teams video call
- Calendar function for scheduling meetings
- Teams chat
A special added value is the high configurability of the service. The new release of my-IAM PeopleConnect adapts to current requirements of a company. All displays are sorted individually, e.g. by:
- „My department“
- „My team“
- „My project“
- „My favourites“
Below that, the respective contacts are displayed. The arrangement of the contact options is also flexible.
At the same time, external contacts are included, as well as different contact object types. In addition, for example, meeting rooms and the associated phone numbers are also displayed. The configuration options are wide and very flexible.
Who is who? – Smart search enables fast finding
A great additional benefit is the intelligent search in PeopleConnect. As you type a name or query into the search field, it already offers you the best choices. These automated contact suggestions speed up the process of finding the right contact.
Importing contact data from other sources makes the search broader and more precise.
MyProfile – Maintain personal data yourself
With the additional function “MyProfile” users update their own profile.
If a user profile contains information about skills, such as language skills, project experience, knowledge about programming languages, and much more – then it enhances the global search with valuable information.
PeopleConnect can also be used as a M365 phone book that displays all contacts in the organization.
